| In September 2020 WCYTwere abkr Ioreturn Io | |||

|||
| order lo adhere lo social dishvxing guidelines, |
|||

|||
| had Io run smaller groups. Therefoe, the junior group became a comtrktafion of exisfing year 6 and 7 chfidren and the senior group year 8s |
|||

| Regardess ofthe restrictions, the young people were delighted to be able to lake part in active in |

|||
| Durtng the Autumn tenn 2020 the junbr group |
|||
| enjoyed taking part in film wortufitops wfih |

| The youth theatre's senior group started |
|||
| rehearsals for NT Connedions 2021 for the sbdh |
|||
| consecufive year, performing Find A Partner by |
|||
| Mirtam Battye, directed by young director Ben |
|||
| Quashie. The NT Directors weekend was held |
|||
| digfiafiy in October, diredor Ben and members of |
|||
| the WCYT creafive team attended. | |||
| ln December 2020 the counby went into Tier 4 | |||
| lockdown and then in January a ful lockdown |
|||
| lherefoe afi our sessions had to be taken onfine |
|||
| and were run on Zoom. Both the and senkrr |
| rehearsed during the first week of the summer |

| holidays at the Bush Theatre and performed in |
| the studio theabs st the end ofthe week. Due to |
| ongoing Covid rsstrtctbne audiences still needed lo be sochlty distanced, however we able to do |
| three separate performances to a pubNc audience offamNy, friends and heal people. |
| During the process the parfictpsnls were finally |
| slkrwed tocome together in person. They made |
| new friends in the kxsl ares, learnt new skiNs |
| and built their self~fidence after shng perhd |
| cfsporadh hohfion snd dhrupfion. Our project isfree to all ofour participants. Itis |
| indusivs and non-sehctive, sll we ask for is |
| coirxnitment during the whole week. Many ofour |
| members do not get the opportunity togo on |
| hofiday snd the summer holidays can be long |
| snd boring and put them st risk ofgelfing into |
| trouble. Bybehg invdved kia week-keg perfonnance project thek horitons are |

| Performance projech sre a major part ofthe WCYT ethos. We believe that itis Important for |
| young people to work towards a finished product in order for them tosee and experience the fruih |
| cfIhek labour. As the week progresses, they |
| dhcover the joys ofworking cdhborsbvely asa group, learning valuable new skilh snd supporting each other. Itisa fun and excibng |
| week, wlfich aho takes s kit ofdedhsfion snd |
| hard work h order to have the show ready to |

| Development |
| Since Covid-tg was contkxfing to have such a |
| negative impact on young people' s |
| mental heafih and wall4eing, WCTP were keen |
| todesign and deviriop a project ready for when it was possible to return to some sort ofnormality. |
| It has been an espechfiy diificult tine for the |
| young people who not only mhsed their final |
| arne st primary school but have had svery |
| dhrupfivs tssiTion to and first year at |
