Contribution made by volunteers Parn 1.38 The charity has found it more difficult to find volunteers. We currently havè eight weekly volunteers who hèlp with Ihe rAfé, or general cleaning. These volunteers are either peopl8 who are retired, Duke of Edinburgh participants or those with $cIal ne8ds. Other Achlevements and Performance SORP r•tsr¢n¢¢ Summary of the main achieveménts of the charlty, identifying the difference thè charity's work has made to the circumstancès of ils beneficiariés and any widèr benefits to society as a whole. Parn 1.20 There are about 25 community clubslorganisations that provid8 a multitude of activilieslfacilitiesladvic6. Some activities cnntinue lo go from strength to strength, particulady our basketball club. We also have somé new dubslorganisations who have joined us. Unfortunately, there is still a need for support to children's rnental health. We are still providing over 30 hours a weèk for this, through local authorities, and pèrsonal counsellors. The time-span to use the UK Shared Prosperity Fund IUKSPFI has now ended. The charity used all of the funding it was given over the 3 year-period. This year this has enablèd us to., Purchase 2 sofas for the café lounga area Upgrade our bouncy castle Purchas8 an air fryèr to accommodato our increased café range. Buy a commercial dishwasher Buy bèan bags for the youth lounge Continue to support a youth worker We hav8 been glven a grant through the National Lottery Community Fund. This grant, over 3 years will part-fund our youth worker, which is most important now that the UKSPF funding has come to an end. 11 will also help a Illlle towards general running costs. Having a full-time youth worker now enables us to provide activities for more different groups. These indude home educated, school refusers, parent support evenings on topics that might occur with their teenagers, young carers. The youth worker successfully applied for some funding, over 3 years, throu9h Waverley Borough Council's Thriving Communities Grant. The Surrey Police & Crime Commissioner's grant slrearn contributed enabling us to offer some mult sport activities free of charge. A donation of £1,000 was received from the Shottermill Greal War Memorial Trust for use on activity days eg the youth worker has already tsken some young people bowling. Page2of7
A grant of £5,000 was given by the Albert Hunt Trust, to be split 60140 bal88n youth worker and running costs. The charity's local Waitrose storé continues to give financial support towards the cost of providing fréellow-cost activities. These are particulady important during school holidays frjr families with little disposable income. Additional informatlon (optional) You ma choose to inGlud8 further slalemènts Whe relevant about..
