Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
The transportation and rehoming of 345 dogs from Romania to the UK. Grants made to enable our preferred rescuers to meet the costs for the welfare of the dogs in their care, so they can be fed and cared for.
The funding of vet bills for dogs being treated for parvovirus and needing orthopaedic operations in Romania.
The spay and neuter of 74 dogs. In addition, giving advice on the upkeep for those dogs that are owned and thereby improving their standards of welfare. A new relationship was developed with NGO Animed in March to S&N stray and owned dogs in the region of Arad. A further relationship was developed in July with a rescuer with the sole purpose to S&N. Therefore, the number of spayed dogs was lower than anticipated for this financial year due to the late development of the relationships. The figure of neutered dogs does not include those of the supported rescuers, which are categorised under “outgoing vet costs”
