Section C Objectives and activities

Advance the sikh religion in the United Kingdom but especially in the south-west of england and wales for the benefit of the public through the holding of prayer meetings, lectures, public celebration of religious festivals, producing and/or distributing literature to enlighten others about the sikh religion. The benefit of this is to provide the general public with knowledge on the sikh faith. activities will also include: ·the provision of education of the gurmukhi language for people of all ages; ·education on the subject of sikh scriptural studies and sikh philosophy and ·the provision of training in classical and contemporary indian musical arts in accordance with the teachings of the sikh religion.

Bristol Gurmat Class continued to hold weekly classes teaching the Gurmukhi language and Sikh Scripture to around 50 individuals online. The charity played a pivotal part in supporting the Sikh Council UK's Covid Initiative including the vaccination drive in collaboration with the NHS. Summary of the main The charity was able to launch several projects including SikhGuarding a activities undertaken for the national safeguarding project (still in it's infancy) which supports public benefit in relation to organisations and Gurdwaras in their safeguarding duties. these objects (include within this section the statutory Interfaith events and educational events were held through a new project declaration that trustees have called "Jyoti Saroop Foundation". had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)
