Annual Report from Abl (CEO) Levs Talk Covld Let's Talk Covid is an emotional reslllence course written inhouse by our team to support voung people to process the turmoil of challenges we all faced during the pandemic and equip them with tools and skills to thrive and build their own resilience. This year we've worked hard to build relationships with local schoo15 and promote Let'5 Talk Covid, so it was really exciting to begin runnln8 in a school settlng in January 2022. We have partnered with both Outwood Academy Redcar and Outwood Academy Bydales and run the course of 51x- week sesslons wlth five groups of young people in total. Some feedback from the 5tudent5 included.. Yhe team is very supportNe, and it make5 me feel like l Can talk In a safe space, e most helpful part was being able to get things off my chest and talk to someone. Young people descrlbed the sesslons In one word as: 'the besv, 'helpful', 'calmlnl,'helpfuV, 'caring'. Warkspace Workspace is an aftèrs¢hool space where young people Can brlng thelr homework and acce55 laptops. the internet and sUPPOrtive volunteer tutors. Our aim is to cultivate a space where youn8 peopl8 tan be themselves, get hollstlc support, have some fun AND get thelr all-important homework done. Th15 year, In the wake of post-eovld, wè spent some tlme rg¢rultlng and tralnlng up a new volunteer team and promoting and advertlsing Workspace in spaces young people mlght see it. We relaunched Workspace on 24, January 2022 and have seen seven youn8 peop16 loln In and ¢onslstently attend durlng thls tlme. One young person stated they could see how much the*ve 8rown in confidence in the few month5 thevve been attendlng. The team are really pleased wlth how It's zolng so far.
