Nkuringo Education and Community Support is a UK basedcharity
supporting both education and the community inNkuringo, a region in
South West Uganda.

Sponsorship of local children to attend either Primary or Secondary
School. A defned sum is paid yearly to cover full board, educational
materials and uniform.
Building of Classrooms and Dormitories for students andteachers, funding of
desks and material requirements to enable the schools to provide a full
education and enable the students to pass the government exams.
Provision of agricultural animals, seeds & equipment to the schools to
enable pupils, parents & staf to grow food sustainably.
Provision of appropriately scaled infrastructure (including water tanks,
solar panels and other equipment) for the local community to overcome
the dificulties of living in a remote region with minimal access to utilities.
Provision of agricultural animals, seeds & equipment to local people to

Provision of medical funds to enable residents access to more complex
treatments.

All support is discussed with the community leaders to ensure it fts in
with local customs and beliefs and, where possible, the aid provided is
to enable the receiver to build on that support and become self-
suficient.
Children in education last year (23/24) 346 and this year (24/25) 381
Medical funds disbursements were made (24/24) more than GBP 2000.
Two trustee led trips to visit the Nkuringo region and villages by charity
volunteers and supporters.
At other times in the year we use secure technologies to remain in
contact with the leaders of the community and tailor our support.
Number of calls & joint meetings more than 5 calls and numerous
correspondence by secure message services.
We continue to require full accountability for all gifts and donations.
Including; photos shared to social media & direct messages& materials to
donors.
Members of the Nkuringo community are aware of the work and support
ofered and donated by supporters of the charity.
We communicate with donors, supporters, volunteers and members of
the Nkuringo community through our website, regular newsletter -
online, in print and emailed to donors and members of the Nkuringo
residents community.

This has been a year of consolidation, introducing new processes and
building on previous foundations.
The charity does not have any debts.
The funds in hand at the end of the fnancial year total £ 28,295
The money held is money waiting to be sent out to Uganda to pay for
sponsorships etc.

Currently the charity maintains minimal reserves limited to the
requirement of our bank to hold £2000 across our accounts at all times.
The charity is considering if this is suficient and if a process to build
further reserves is required.

The charity has taken on no obligations that it is committed to that are
unfunded.
The charity is solvent and has a regular income from sponsorships
provided by members of the public.

Private individual giving is the main source of funds, these have been
identifed (due to promises made in marketing communications) as
separate restricted funds.
The regular newsletter is key to the continued growth in the number of
people who support the projects we highlight and report on.
Project have been identifed with their own restricted funds.
Donors who are unable to continue to support a young person are
replaced with other donors from either the existing pool or through new
donors contacted by newsletter, social media or word of mouth.
Donors carry out specifc fund raising activities for specifc projects,
coordinated by supporters and volunteers.
