The members of the ExeoJtive Committee are eletted at the Annual General Meeting by the members of the Charity. All memlRrs are arlated with invitatlons to nominate trustees in adan of the AGM. The Constltution of the tharlty states that there must be at least three charity trustees and the maximum number of charity trustees is fve. This Is to be achieved by asssting them to integrate into s(Kiety throLb3h the provision of faalities in which they can meet to undertake creative, physical or re(Teational activities, learn or pass on skllls and knowledge and support eath other socially as well as helping with community- based proiects.- An inclusive group of men meeting in a setting where life's experiences can be shared. We aim to provide the opportunity to ty out & learn new l(ills we'd all forgotten about. We're all benefiting from developirKJ our skills and knowledge of a wide rdnge of the new technologies so important now to kp us connected and to manage our lives in so many different and challenging ways. With a focus on establishiro and maintaining a wide & extensive communication policy, we aim to ensure we have a broad and consistent Presen within the local communty. Wh1n our membership we have SucsSfUlty ensur that all rnemrs can keep in conta(& through WhatsApp, emails, faCeLk and phone and now our YouTube videos. Achievements and Perforniance The objectlves we set for 2023 focused on ensuring our shed continued to provide a welcoming and friendly environment for men to get together with an expanding membership. There was a need both to increase the flr area but also to ensure greater tlexibS11ty in how the space was used. With the expansion in membership there was seen to be a need to also expand the involvement of the members In the runnlng of the shed and finally we were keen to develop new revenue streams for the continued finanaal stability of our shed.

It is genuinely a friendly and indusive setting. During the year an actlve supper dub has grown and meets weekly In a local pub. Our membership has grown during the Year from 35 to 44. New w0$1p In the first quarter of the year we pU)oSed a further section of the building to add more worl(shop space to IrKlude a new Metalwolng failty. This involved many members in levelllng a concrete floor, creating dcM)r access and building an Insulated suspended celllng. A number of new work benches were made uslng r material from an old warehouse being demolished Proiocts Similarly to previous yearfs village noti tK)ards, village planters, a mud kitchen, several bench restorations and minl Ilbraries have all been completed. New projects like a charity wishing well, restoration of a Wittorian ca¢ a Wendy hou* bUIld have also demonstrated the skills of the membership. Some membe[5 are also currently involved In a project to get a 50 year dd dumper trud( okErntlonal for a local group Involved In the restoration of a local canal. One Project, the creation of a new Rememb13n Day stand for the local group generated the followlng rwonse". What a shed it is! Some amazing WO goes on there. IVS a bit like the WI but with men and machines creating wonderful things from wcx)d and metal. We're fortunate to have them just a stone's throw away.- Payment for this was made by a range of cakes whith went down very well with our momlng tea and coffee. Shows and Fai These included Giant Bradley Day in Market Weighton, Pocklington Community Event and HOSM Christsnas Fayre. Visits During the year members have visitd a woodtuming demonstration in Skidby, the Farm Museum in Murton, and a canal trip on the local Pocklington Canal and vlsited the woodworking show at Harrogate. Chrlstmas lunch Finally our end of year saw 36 members attend a Christmas lunch - a go(xl year all round, and a parfect way to end our year at the sh6d.

The charlvs trustees consider that an aud Is rM)t required for this year under section 144 of the Charftles Act 2011 (the Charities Act) and that an independent examination is needed.
