Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document
(i) To promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of Wiston without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions, by associating together the said inhabitants and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupations with the objects of improving the conditions of life of the said inhabitants; and

(ii) To establish or secure the establishment of a community centre (hereinafter called 'the centre') and to maintain and manage the same (whether alone or in co-operation with any local authority or person or body) in furtherance of these objects.
Trustees noted The Guidance to Trustees (issued by the Charity Commission) at their meeting of 18[th] March 2019, minute reference 6 d) i. The Wiston Meeting Place Trustees manage a community building and open space. The facility is hired to local residents, local clubs, community groups and organisations and for private events.
The Wiston Meeting Place is available to children, young people, elderly people, those with disabilities and the general public. Summary of the main When Covid19 restrictions have permitted, the Wiston Meeting Place achievements of the charity Trustees have hired the building to members of the community and local during the year groups, clubs and organisations. Income received has been used to cover the costs of maintenance and improvements to the building.
