Summary of Activities During the Year
A biological survey has been completed by Brookfield Community School A level biology students. A report from the students will be submitted to the Trust in due course. This will enable the Trustees to identify suitable areas for wild flower seeding in the future.
A selection of Native trees has been planted. Ashover Parish Council donated funds to facilitate this with the assistance of Mike Thomas a local Parish Councillor. Trees have also been donated by local supporters of the Trust.
There is ongoing improvement of the field by the Trustees and the locals of Alton. The two benches have been refurbished and are very popular with walking groups. A pathway has been maintained to access the field. The boundary wall continues to be maintained and improved by Trust members. The field has been mowed by our farming Trustee.
