MISSION HERITAGE CENTRE SUNDERLAND poINr CHAIRTY NO 1181552 ANNUAL REPORT APRIL 2024 TO MARCH 2025 Develo ment and Pro"ect Plannin The first phase of development to incorporate new Kitchen and accessible Toilet facilities within the existing building was completed coupled with new sewage treatment plant and drainage discharge facility. Prepar3tory work to specify and obtain funding for installation of a Solar Pnotovoltaic Panel Array for Sustainable and resilient electrical supply was agreed by the trustees and commenced. Maintenance and Re airs The Mission Hall was cleared of materials, cleaned down and internal painted surfaces redecorated. New carpeting was installed in the "raised dias" area. The hall ftoor was cleaned and re-stained. Storm damage to the roofing was repaired and decrepit rainwater gutters and downspouts replaced. Furtner work to repair was carried out to extend the life of external wooden Window frames. Fund raisin Grant Aid fijnding was drawn down for contract work completion and contracts closed. Further application5 were prepared to seek support for the solar energy proposal. Local charity funding was accrued via the Co-op local charities support scheme. Revenue income from sales of local community history books and calendars provided a continuing modest income. Local funds were raised from charity support events during the year. Donations were reteived from visitors to the Mission Heritage Centre on open days. En ements and Events Spring Exhibitiofi- 'Umbrella Legs, heritage photographic display was mounted during March to open April for an indefinite period. A display of Model ships has been installed in the raised dias area. Leaflets, local history books and regional infomiation leaflets are provided for visitois. The Mission Heritage Centre continue to engage with relevant local authorities and organisations, Lancaster City Council, Overton Parish Council, Morecambe Bay Partnership and local schools.
