Polish women working in STEM fields in the UK - STP aims to get to know this unique group more. The stories and experiences of women who have decided to pursue STEM in exile are as diverse as they are. Our report will analyse these experiences to create a profile of a Polish woman working in STEM in the UK. The partial results of the survey conducted in the first half of 2021 were presented at The Congress of Polish Engineers in the UK in October 2021. Report is expected to be published in 2022. Congress of Polish Engineers in UK was a 3 day hybrid event during which we explored some of the challenges being faced by engineers in the 21st century. During the first day (28[th] October 2021) we hosted two online discussion panels where variety of guests shared their perspectives on how to navigate the world of data and on how modern engineering crosses not only technological but also cultural borders. On the second day (29[th] October 2021) we invited our guests to the Polish Embassy in London, where we looked back on the achievements of Polish engineers in the past decades. The event concluded with an informal Saturday brunch in SkyGarden (30[th] October 2021). British Science Week/ Science Outreach – two online meetings organised in March 2021: • Dr Gary C. Barker: The coronavirus data deluge. Coping with complexity, confounding and causalityDr Andrzej Szydło: As if by magic. Spectacular Chemistry Show Mentoring programme – Expanding the programme by additional mentors in order to support members of the association in their career development and achievement of chartered engineer status in the relevant professional body institute. One open meeting organised in November 2021 in cooperation with Federation of Polish Student Societies in the UK for people interested in joining the programme.
