I have onty been Chair for the last 12 but I have to say I'm very impressed with the professionalism and enthuskasm of our wmmittee and u3a wbers- I've inherited an excdlent team from Bob Tyas. In September W year, some of our ffmtrs and commiiiee rr1berS manned a stand in the foyer of Sainsburys. which iTreased the visibilty of our u3a in tThvn. In addition. the excellent arteS that our secretsry. Ann, has managed to gèt into the Focus has resutted in several new members. I would like to take this Opptunty to thank all the rnbers ofthe rnMittee for tt1r hard work and support during the year. meMr$hIP The trend this year has been upwards, with 249 members and asscoate members, whth shows a healthy. actrve u3a. Groups The a¢tivty groups continue to gruw and I'm pleased to say Ihat olta1 Photography and SnCe & Technology groups have been rfrestabltshed and Ukulele and Gin 2 groups formed. I do know people very much enjoyed it arml l am looking forward to the one this year nLW we have a new &tial Secretary. At the tsme ofwriting this, our summer ouling lo Lodges Coaches is yet to happen. but I have no doubt that it wll be very successful. Thanks to Mary and team for the hard work and effort that goes into organisirwJ these events.
