Independent examiners report to the Trustees of Taunton Youth FC Community Trust

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts for Taunton Youth FC Community Trust (“the charity”) for the year ended 30 June 2025.

Responsibilities and basis of report

As the charity trustees of the charity you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the 2011 Act”).

I report in respect of my examination of the charity’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act.

Independent examiner’s statement

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

  1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as required by section 130 of the 2011 Act; or

  2. the accounts do not comply with these records

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

  1. The accounts have been prepared on the receipts and payments basis and in accordance with guidance issued by the Charity Commission.

  2. During the year ending 2025 the following trustees received remuneration:

  3. Neil Cottey (Treasurer) - £800 paid for bookkeeping (2024: £930).

  4. Dean Yarde (Trustee) - £9,640 paid for coaching (2024: £2,440).

  5. These payments are permitted by the governing document of the charity.

  6. The funds of the charity are as noted on the receipts and payments accounts, with £nil restricted funds carried forward as at 30 June 2025 (2024: £Nil). Within unrestricted funds there is £Nil of designated funds (2024: £Nil).

  7. The Trustees confirm, in accordance with the Charitable Incorporated Organisations (General) Regulations 2012, that at year end the CIO did not have any outstanding guarantees to third parties nor any debts secured on assets of the CIO.
