In the summer academic term of 2022,
having acquired 20 Edison robots trial
sessions were undertaken over 2 days
with 60 Year 3 students at Newport
Primary Barnstaple and 60 Year 3
students at Southmead Primary
Braunton
Lesson Plans were developed from this
trial, training in delivery undertaken, and
in March 2023 64 Year 3 students at
Braunton Caen Primary undertook
hands on programming in EdBlocks, a
simplified Scratch, over two days. 60
Year 3 students at Newport School also
took part in like sessions.
Also in March 23 an after school
Robotics Challenge took place at
Petroc. All Year 7 Schools had been
invited and three schools took part
Invitations were sent out to other
Primary Schools for the summer term.
