We run - concerts that make the live performance of baroque music available to people in the Haslemere area and especially to the students of local music teachers - competitions with well qualified judges that help to raise the standard of younger string players and offer the winner and runners up a great opportunity to perform alongside professionals in a public concert.
Objects: To Advance The Education Of The General Public In The Appreciation And Understanding Of Music And Its History With Special Emphasis On Baroque Music Through:- Live Performances- Lectures- Competitions- Courses- Visits- Sponsorship Of New Compositions- Provision And Sponsorship Of Training And Performance Opportunities For Musicians- Cooperation With Other Music Societiessuch Other Activities As The Trustees Think Fit From Time To Time.
