Objectives and Activities
To advance public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of chamber music through;

Support to develop new/emerging talent within chamber music.
Achievements and Performance
In 2023, Cosmic Music successfully managed and produced a research development week of Macbeth Retold project.
Synopsis:
Macbeth Retold is an exciting, reimagined telling of the Shakespeare story written by Martin Riley. Aimed at people from age 14 upwards, this unique piece of theatre will spell-bind lovers of both chamber music and Shakespeare, but as importantly reach out to new audiences, and be suitable for production in accessible, small settings and by small ensembles. Dramatic content is led by Helen Woods, a composer, music animateur, musical director and performer in collaboration with the Mavron Quartet creating a score to accompany Martin’s script. Audience participation is a key element in this work.
At the end of the week a script, music, props and costumes were created and a work in progress performance was delivered to an invited audience in July 2023. This project involved commissioning a new composition, performing high quality artistic work, developing partnerships between chamber music and other art forms and developing new audiences for the art form- all of which are key objectives of Cosmic Music.

Structure, Governance and Management
Cosmic Music is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) with a constituted governing document. The affairs of the charity are managed by the trustees. Apart from the first charity trustees, every trustee must be appointed for a term of three years by a resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the charity trustees.
