Objectives & Activities

Objectives of the Charity

The Indian Pentecostal Church of God (IPC) Cambridge is a non-profit Christian organisation situated in Cambridgeshire that was founded in November,2010. and we registered as a charity from the 3[rd ] of December 2018. As a charitable organisation, we are eager to assist our community in spreading love, joy, and peace in Jesus Christ because we adhere to the doctrines and ideals of apostolic churches. We collaborate with other churches in Cambridgeshire to accomplish our objectives. The people at our church are very welcoming, and anyone from any culture, religion, or language is welcome to attend our services. Prepare, Grow, Expand, and Sustain are our four retention strategies: they help people stay in our church.

Activities of the Charity

As a church, we engage in outreach work in the neighbourhood, providing persons in need with prayer and emotional support while respecting their religious beliefs. While offering youth counselling and empowerment programmes, we organise fundraising activities to help the underprivileged members of our community. We also have community activities such as bible study groups, tea parties, and craft activities for Sunday school students and increasingly food banks after Sunday worship etc.

We also provide clothing, food, and school supplies to numerous churches, orphanages to help the attainment of education in the rural areas. Based on the principles of the Bible, our charity seeks to help the working class and less fortunate people.

Achievements and Performance

The organisation provides regular sessions all year long where people can learn about Christian beliefs and prepare for them. Our church prioritises having a good impact on the community through outreach programmes, street ministries, youth ministries, charitable activities, individual counselling, and regular church services.

Future Developments

We gather every Sunday for regular Sunday services at St Thomas Church, also we have our Sunday school, youth meetings, cottage meetings and ladies’ meetings happening regularly. Additionally, we

Independent Examiner’s Report on the Accounts

We report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 30[th] November 2021 set out on pages 8- 9.

Respective responsibilities of Trustees and Examiner:

The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the preparation of the accounts. The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 43(2) of the Charities Act 1993 (the Act) and that an independent examination is needed.

It is our responsibility to examine the accounts (under section 43(3)(a) of the 1993 Act), to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners (under section 43(7)(b) of the Act), and to state whether particular matters have come to our attention.

Basis of independent examiner’s report:

Our examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items of disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from the Trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair view’ and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statements below.

Independent examiner’s statement:

In connection with our examination, no matter has come to our attention:

which gives us reasonable cause to believe that, in any material aspect, the requirements to keep accounting records in accordance with section 41 of the 1993 Act; and to prepare accounts which record with the accounting records and to comply with the accounting records of the 1193 Act have not been met; or to which, in our opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
