made to Camden
Council
in the Belsize area, reviewing

commenting
on 11.The year saw our planning
lead putting
in considerable
effort at an
appeal
by the developers
ofthe site at 100
Avenue Road, Swiss Cottage. The developers
were challenging
the Council's refusalto
reduce the obligations
around the provision of
affordable
housing. The Society appeared
as
an interested
party and provided
a submission
to the Planning
Inspector. The result was very
much as we had hoped, with the Inspector
upholding
the Council's decision.
The Society welcomed
a new committee
member to monitor local tree applications,
looking at 276applicati'ons
and commenting
on 28.There was also a positive dialogue
with
Camden
Council about how to celebrate the
Queen's
Platinum
Jubilee by planting trees in
the area. We met with the Council to discuss
the enforcement
ofits policies concerning
large developments.
The quarterly
newsletters
continued to be
produced,
with the 2021edition ofour
popular Tradesmen
You Can Trust pamphlet
accompanying
the August newsletter.
