Seeds of Grovrth provided the materials for him lo build wonderful ¢oncrele pillars to replace Ihe bamboo, for himself and hls famSly. My translator and constsnl helper. Ramj8m, requested a bamboo inner ceiling for hls gafvanis8d rood. These inner ceilings are necessary for regulallng extremes of cold and hgal. We had one n)ad¢ lo measure and fitted by a local cornpany. And. ironlcally Ihe pump man got a pump. other requests w8gnl long comlng once people knew I was there. and w8 started with another communal toilet followed by six communal pumps and a roof r8p8ir. Though we usually avoid getting involvad with medical expenses, on this occasion we agreed to pay for an operation for a roofes labour8r who could hardly walk as he had three big black lumps on the sole of his foot Ajways working bare fool. he was in extrème fear of having to stop working altogether.
