The Chairman was able to report that, followin8 a period of recovery after the Covld Pandemlc, squash participation in the county appears to have stabillsed and started to grow gain. The lea8ue is operatlng * a stable level and the county aosed toumament is runnlng annually. wr(h he3￿hY finances and the junior and senior organisations now fully merged, the GSA Is now in a Position to embark on actlvitles to develop and grow the sport In the County. Attendees were invlted to review the detalled accounts for which the highlSghts are as follows:

League Operatlon Report The League seuetsry presented her report on the league operation during 2024.

At year end the league is opering with 23 teams across 4 divisions. Thls include5 Hereford which is outside the county and in Spring 2025 Monmouth will also join the league. Thls will be offset lry the withdrawal of one of the Wycllffe team5 In the Sprln8 league. It was reported that theltenham Cfjllege are considering entsrin8 a team aaain for the 2025126 season. Thefe was a discussion on the current nsles for the league with a focus on the criteria for setting team order. Currendy. under the Squash levels ranklng System. tearns may vary the playlng as long as there is no more than a 20% difference in ranking of a hi8her ranked player when playlng below a lower ranked player. ft was debated whether this was too restrlttive in certain arcumstsnces and there should be relaxed. Reason5 for allowlng thi5 were suggested as allowing players ￿covering from InlLSry and those who have not played for sometlme. With East Glos continuing to grow and attract members, It is seen as important for the County that other clubs are sustalned in order to malntain a wide and distributed playin8 base In the county. Members were irwited to share ideas for developingthe 5POrt acrossthe county with Input as follows- Can we better use using soclal media I websites to improve publiuty and raise the profile of Squash in the County as a means to bri￿ in rn0￿ Playe￿ from all parts ofthe county?
