Achievements and Perfomiance All Friends ol Gladstone Park activities have an underfying purp06e of encouraging people into the park to enjoy and benefft from thls beautlful publ1¢ space. The Gardening Group continued to mantain the waied Gwden in Gladstone Park alon9 ith the forrnal rose beds outside (now refreshed hith the roses purthased by FOGP). In addition lo the Waled Garden. beds around Ihe upper te3( adIant to the Walled Garden were maintained. as well as the beds around vthat bfds the bovAing green. FOGP ojntinued to improved the deal"ng n the cA)pse area to help discourage antSocIal artiifjties there. and to encourage Yradnower areas and fems to enhance the copse and Inase biodiversity. Members of FOGP and Ihe Gardening Griwp have been acaivety involved with involved w7th the Big Cty Butterllies project. run by Butteffly Conservation. Wrth the help of a member of their team, a set route Ihrough the park (a transert) was identifd to cover different habitats wilhin the park Volunteers walk this transect every Vek from April to September. recording the buttefflie5 seen as well as infomiation about the weather conditions at Ehe time. Adijilionalty, the Big Cty Buttefflies projed provided seeds to plant strips of pthnator-friendly plants in the par FOGP funded and carried out the refurbishment of the noticeboards by the 8ntr2nc4s lo Ihe park whith had become untity and dilapidated. FOGP organised the fundbng (via grants from the Edward Harvisl TTUSI and Together Towards Zero) and instdation of new railngs around a number of prevtou neglected flowertieds vthith have been replanted. The railings not only smarten up these areas, t1 promde a level of protection for the new flower beds to flourish. FOGP was acllve In enabllng some ofthe d)erry trees glfted to BnI by the Saknra Chery Trees project to be planted in the part and walered and masntained for 3 years to get them established. They will form a beaulilul avenue from Ihe south side of the park tovrnrds the maFn chAdrens playground. In addttion. FOGP organised and hosted a ceremony to welcome these trees into the paTk. Flnancial Review At the end ot this period we have £959.89 in the accounl. vthith 15 a healthy amount for us and a lribule to the generous users of Gladstone Part drop donations into our bu¢keL Only a small amount remains ring4enced- for bluebells. Plants for the park. Mostly for the Walled Garden, but also for the beds we are beginning to refurbish outside the Stables cafe and in front of the toilet.

Reimbursements for expenses of organising a ceremony to mark the donation of Sakura cherry trees from Japan, and new railings for the park. These were funded by Brent Council.

We hosted a ceremony to welcome Sakura cherry trees which were donated by the Japanese government. Brent Council gave £308.00 to cover expenses for the ceremony.

Most of the rest was down to general donations in the bucket left out while the gardening group is working or given to us during organised Litter Picks or guided walks in the park.
