Para 1.20 | The Foundation prepared proposals and applied for grant funding for research projects in the following countries: Botswana, Mauritius, Senegal, Gabon, Kenya and Rwanda. All the proposals involved collaboration with local partners. Funding was sought for each project and included applications to private donors, and public organisations including the Mauritian Research and Innovation Council. Collaboration with the UNDP Cultiv@te Programme involved funding to cover project development costs for a collaborative research project to assess biological nitrogen fixation in cassava, maize and tomatoes with the Gabon Agriculture and Forest Research Institute. |
