SORP reference
Summary of the purposes of
the charity as set out in its
governing document
Para 1.17 To assist people in need in our local
community by providing goods and
services to individuals and small local
charities. A small percentage of our
funds is sent to Lions clubs
International who use contributions
from around the world to fund crisis and
humanitarian aid in the aftermath of
major disasters.
Summary of the main
activities in relation to those
purposes for the public
benefit, in particular, the
activities, projects or
services identified in the
accounts.
Para 1.17 and
1.19
This is the first full year when we have
been able to hold some of our traditional
fund raising events such as our quiz
nights, car show, donkey derby and our
Christmas collection following the Covid
pandemic. Unfortunately there was no
appetite from the local schools to
reintroduce the choir competition. We
have retained some of our pandemic
strategies such as the local lottery,
grant applications and a just giving
page on our website.
Statement confirming
whether the trustees have
had regard to the guidance
issued by the Charity
Commission on public
benefit
