Para 1.20 | The Pandemic has curtailed operations for most of the year however the Society's educational role has continued in providing meets both above and below ground, providing talks and guiding visits for outside groups. Participation in the Lake District Mining Forum has continued and the Society has had a gate fitted to the Coniston Deep Level. As access controller the Society has provided access to Hudgill Burn Mine for a geological survey. Four newsletters were produced. The enthusiasm with which the program has been met by participants clearly demonstrates the Society's success in meeting it's objectives. |
