We make grants in furtherance of our charitable objects: by promoting the voluntary sector for public benefits by associating with local authorities in a common effort to advance education and provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation to improve the conditions of life of people in local, national, and international communities.

1 . Christmas Events.
Summary We raised funds and provided those in need a Christmas Hamper, each of which of the is made up according to the individual needs of the recipients. We provided main Woking Borough Councils’ Meals on Wheel service ‘goody bags’ to be delivered achievem with the Christmas day meal to give those receiving their meal some extras ents of and Christmas Cheer. the charity 2. Project Wenceslas. during the In conjunction with our two Citizen Advice Offices in Woking and Addlestone, we year receive donations from local residents who can manage without their Government Fuel Allowance.
In turn, the money is paid out by Citizen Advice offices to meet the cost of gas and electricity, direct to the supplier, for those who have insufficient money to pay their accounts.
3. COVID -19 (Local Food Bank).
In March 2020 we made an appeal on Social Media for funds to help support our local foodbank which was successful
4. Lions Martian Race.
A proportion of the profits from a run/race held at the end of the previous FY were distributed to local charities, the remainder being retained to enable the Club to support needy people or causes in our area and other.
5. General.
Help given to other local charities and individuals in need.
