Section D Achievements and performance Summary ofthe main achievements ot the Charity during the year The Donkey Derby was can￿lIed due to potential disruption from animal rights actNiSts, and the weather at the East Grinstead Mayfair was such that the event had to be called off after a few houT5 so fund raising income was dramatically redu￿1 this year. This was dramatically offset by substantial donations this year. The book sales at the local stations and the book shop have continued and are doing well. The dub is continuing to do well with new member5. WOW (wami over winter) has Continued to grow with more grants to local residents and families provided this year as the fuel crisis continues. These are limited to a maximum of £200 per year per household. The club has sufficient funds to ¢ontinue grant making Section E Financial review The CIO as a grant maknng organisation attempts to provide as many grants as possibte throughout the year, with the aim of keeping minimum of reserves. Tr level of these reserves would nomally be kept to around £1501XJ in its chartty fund. This takes into account that there is urrerrtly funds ring fen￿ for various activrties, wtth £6000 reseNed for Health awareness acttvities wtth further ring fencing of £5000 for provision of holidays for families in need or with a disability where a holiday would not nomially tE possible. Brief statement of the charity's policy on reserves The admin account ts kept at a value thrOugh￿Ut the year in order that it may meet ils commitments, where the main commitment is to pay its dues to the Lions Organ￿atiOn. This is ensured by having membership dues set at a level to be able to meet this commitment. The 200 Club is maintained at a level to meet its o)mmitments which is mainly to provide prizes 4 times a year. The level of prizes are determined by the number of members in the 200 ctub and only surplus funds are used to make grants. There rs no overdraft facilty in place in any accounts so there is no possibilty of being overdrawn. Details of any funds materially in deficit No funds are in deftt>t TAR March 2012
