Achievements and Performance

SORP reference
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 For the first time in a number of years
we have had a number of swimmers
qualify for the East Midlands Regional
Championships. We also secured 30
medals at the event and one swimmer
was awarded the LASCAT trophy.
OPur masters swimmers were
nominated for male and female swimmer
of the year, and one of our masters also
won gold at the regional
championships.
We have supported our coaches with
training on neuro developmental and
other mental health matters.
We have continued to run our open
meet and also added to lots of time
trials to our calendar. Time trials have
been offered at no charge to our
members to ensure fair access to as
many swimmers as possible.
We have continued to offer discounted
swimming to additional siblings who
join the club.
WE continue to add people to our
committed team of volunteers and
committee.
All of the above add value to the club as
a whole and allow it to operate to ensure
that we can secure the success of as
many of our swimemrs as possible. We
continue to strive to be even more
inclusive as a club, and enjoy a renewed
focus on supporting swimmers with
neurodiverse conditions.

Financial Review

Financial Review
Review of the charity’s
financial position at the end
of the period
Para 1.21 We continue to strive towards a ‘break
even’ point through the process of fair
fee-setting and our open meet. Our
annual open meet continues to be our
main source, over and above our
monthly fees – without it, the club could
not operate and subsidises much of the
operating costs that we incur.
We have managed to obtain a link to the
‘easy fundraiser’ which has been an
additional source of income, albeit
limited and offering a consistent but not
a significant income stream.
Statement explaining the
policy for holding reserves
stating why they are held
Para 1.22 We do not hold reserves.
Amount of reserves held Para 1.22
Reasons for holding zero
reserves
Para 1.22 As our outgoings currently outweigh
our incomings, all cash at bank is
allocated to supporting the general
running of the club. At times of healthier
income, all additional monies are
invested in the club by way of training
courses, additional kit, or subsidising
additional coaching methods / support.
Details of fund materially in
deficit
Para 1.24
Explanation of any
uncertainties about the
charity continuing as a going
concern
