STS 2 gave our volunteers an opportunity to gr(M plants le.g. wild primroses) for the Park from seed al home and to over-winler our stock of naiNe bluebells. etc. which we had ordered in for the Park. STS 3 then enabled us lo do Phase One of planting up the improved Beds on the Inner Bailey Iwfth old roses, and old hydrdngeasl to ensure the1005e fioriferous, look 'rnosUy pre1940s plants, which the Iripartf(e group had pmrnised to the HLF al the outset). That entailed close work the landscape designers - Harrisons Design Dwelopment IHDDI of Mold - and the landscape Contracto (Wrights). We were then able wilh greater confidence as a charity to seek more funds and grants. We have also prepared the Park for rts Keep Wales Tidy'Gfeen Flag, Inspection in earfy August 2021. As l Ylnte this note in August 2021, are hopeful thal the Friends" great elforts Dn site over the last few months - together with a very big late push by FCC'S staff - wll have been sufficient lo deliver a Park on Bailey Hill which will impress the judges. We now keenly await installation of the cornmissioned inlerprelation panels on the Hill. Mso, anticipate refashion proposals for children's play on the Hill being unveiled soon.
