This year, the church continued to remain actNe throughout all seasons, and the ministry and work of the churGh continued to be V￿1] received and supported The priority for our church remained the holding of services of worship in our premises, wrth servi￿$ every Sunday throughout the year. Unlike many Churches, we have continued to hold an evening Servi￿ as vlell as a moming service. They have been of great benefft to people. and the increased numbers in attendance have continued. This has been encouraging. We also held weekly Wednesday evening BibSe study and prayer meètings Th8se meetings include times of prayer, where many prayer requests of particular Importan￿ to individuals, and the churdl congregation, are brought forward and prayed for. During the year we continued to maintain our regular programme of other activities, including our Oasis craft and coffee moming group on Tuesdays. and Ladies Bible Study on Mondays. We also held a number of regular Walk and Talk, events on Saturdays monthly, giving people opportunty for exercise and friendship whilst enjoying open countyside. Our church premises of Jireh chapel are also used for a ular Chnstian Young Lrfe group on Saturdays During this year a lo¢al Board Games Club has also begun to meet in Jireh chapel regularly on Monday evenings. Thts is attended afKI organised by some church members, as well as a good number from the wider o)mmunty. The children's after4chool club for children aged 4-12 years, called Friday Club has continued to operate regularly throughoLrt the year. This provides a safe aThJ happy environment in which children are able to do fun games and actiwties, as V￿11 as leam interesting and important lessons from the Bible together. ThB has Continued to benefft a nurntr￿r of children land parents!} from our local communty. These activities have meant that we were able to cater more specrfically for a wider number of people in our community, from younger ones, to groups m¢ye particularly surlable for older people. We have continued to provide recordings of our Sunday momir¥J service each V￿k, either uploaded to our church Y￿b$Ite. or distributed locally door to d¢)or on CDS by our pastor. This has been valuable contact and ministy to those who are unable to easily get out and attend our meetings physically_ We V￿re also able to expand our evangelistic outreach during this year. by the appointment of a part-time evangelist. who is employed to cary out evangelistic gosp81 work in the w￿an area, on behalf of the churdi. We have continued to advertise our church, its activities and worship, to the general public via our website, as well as using social media, notice boards on the outside of the buildings, leaflets, fliers. and word of mouth. The Church athances Christian religion by the pr8aching of the Gospel, and disseminab'on of literature and word of mouth conversations. On occasions throughout the summer we held a 'literature table. outreach around shops in the local communrty precincts. The church has continued to provide pastoral support and practical help to those with whom rt has come into contact, who are in need. Our pastor has also conducted some funeral services for people who ￿Ere associated bvith the Churth and local ￿rnMunty. These were conducted both on our premises, and elsewhere. Our pastor was also able to go into a kxal sch(K)I regularly to conduct assemblies, in the heart of the local communrty. We had some special event days of particular focus, with speakers from the Christian Insttlute, and Missionary Organisations, as w911 as visiting speakers of interest from further afield. We held special fellowship lunches for our church anniversary V￿kend and Christmas carol ser￿ce. The thurch has financially supported the work of Christian organisations in the UK and overseas. During the year V￿ have also considered signjficant matters to do wth the improvement of our premises and amenrties. Thi8 is still ongoing. We have continued to play a very active role in a Lancashire regional fellowship of churches. and have both hosted arKI attended Combined church events and meetings of this regional fellowship. When planning and carying out our adivities. the trustees confimi that they have considered the Commission's guidance on public benefft, and in parti¢ular the guidance for charities which are primarily Gon￿Med wth the advan￿rnent of reli ion. Section D Achievements and performance The church has prov￿ed.. A surtable place of worship for persons in our localrty to physically attend, in every week of the year. Weekly Christian worship seNices and teaching meetings which are also open to the public. Servi￿$ of worship and prayer, on both Sunday momings and evenings, as well as Wejjnesday evenings, for all who wished to attend, held at Rehoboth chapel. For Ihosa not able to attend our regular services, we made audio recordings of our services and distributed them l>)th via CD in the local area to those who wanted them, and by uploading the audio recordings of our services to the church w￿b$￿te, which ts available to the general public. Regular outreach in the fomi of the Oasis group, a dropin coffee moming with craft and baby-t¢xldler facilities, for anyone in the local communty to attend freely. This has been noticed and recommended by other chariiies. Holding a regular children's after-school activity Glub on Fridays, for children in the local communty. Other regular OLrtreach activrttes to accommodate more partlGular groups, such as Ladies Meetings, or for young people, as well as those with particular interests such as walking or playing board games. These have been done with the aim of fostering a good sense of communty and social interadion. Summary ofthe main achievements of the charity during the year Perfomiance". The attendan￿ at our worship services has continu8d to be maintained. and increased during the year. Members of the public who are not currently members of the church have also been regularly present in our services and other activities throughout the year. This we believe is important in the furtheran￿ of our work. Afthough some of our members sadly passed away during the year. we have also added to our church membership this year, including service of believerfs baptism at Jireh chapel. Others have also expressing an interest in joining. which is encouragir¥J. With the employment of a part-time evangelist since November 2024, V￿ have also been able to increas8 and improve our gospel outreach and evangelism wrthin the communrty, and the tobvn of W￿an. We have continued to reach into the local community in a number of pla￿S and ways induding local shopping areas and in local schools, and on its website, in addition to vthat is done on its own premises. During the year we have continued to maintain our premises to suitable stsndards, as well as making improvement to the disablèd access ramp at Rehoboth chapel. We have also made ewuiries and considered Fossibilities about significant improvement to the amenities in our church premises. We have continued to provide a wami space for people to meet in at all of the meetings of the church throughout the year, in all weathers, using our resources and the heating systems we have available. We have also continued to review our polirJes and pr¢xedures during the year, updating a number of them. The financial posrtion of the chanty has r8mained operable, with some increase to the giving. However, we continue to be aware of the need to provide against FK)ssible on-going deficits.
