Summary ofthe
objects of the
charity set out
In its governing
document

This year, the church continued to remain actNe throughout all seasons, and the
ministry and work of the churGh continued to be V￿1] received and supported
The priority for our church remained the holding of services of worship in our
premises, wrth servi￿$ every Sunday throughout the year. Unlike many Churches,
we have continued to hold an evening Servi￿ as vlell as a moming service. They
have been of great benefft to people. and the increased numbers in attendance
have continued. This has been encouraging.
We also held weekly Wednesday evening BibSe study and prayer meètings Th8se
meetings include times of prayer, where many prayer requests of particular
Importan￿ to individuals, and the churdl congregation, are brought forward and
prayed for.
During the year we continued to maintain our regular programme of other activities,
including our Oasis craft and coffee moming group on Tuesdays. and Ladies Bible
Study on Mondays. We also held a number of regular Walk and Talk, events on
Saturdays monthly, giving people opportunty for exercise and friendship whilst
enjoying open countyside. Our church premises of Jireh chapel are also used for a
ular Chnstian Young Lrfe group on Saturdays During this year a lo¢al Board
Games Club has also begun to meet in Jireh chapel regularly on Monday evenings.
Thts is attended afKI organised by some church members, as well as a good
number from the wider o)mmunty. The children's after4chool club for children
aged 4-12 years, called Friday Club has continued to operate regularly throughoLrt
the year. This provides a safe aThJ happy environment in which children are able to
do fun games and actiwties, as V￿11 as leam interesting and important lessons from
the Bible together. ThB has Continued to benefft a nurntr￿r of children land parents!}
from our local communty. These activities have meant that we were able to cater
more specrfically for a wider number of people in our community, from younger
ones, to groups m¢ye particularly surlable for older people.
We have continued to provide recordings of our Sunday momir¥J service each
V￿k, either uploaded to our church Y￿b$Ite. or distributed locally door to d¢)or on
CDS by our pastor. This has been valuable contact and ministy to those who are
unable to easily get out and attend our meetings physically_
We V￿re also able to expand our evangelistic outreach during this year. by the
appointment of a part-time evangelist. who is employed to cary out evangelistic
gosp81 work in the w￿an area, on behalf of the churdi. We have continued to
advertise our church, its activities and worship, to the general public via our website,
as well as using social media, notice boards on the outside of the buildings, leaflets,
fliers. and word of mouth. The Church athances Christian religion by the pr8aching
of the Gospel, and disseminab'on of literature and word of mouth conversations. On
occasions throughout the summer we held a 'literature table. outreach around shops
in the local communrty precincts.
The church has continued to provide pastoral support and practical help to those
with whom rt has come into contact, who are in need.
Our pastor has also conducted some funeral services for people who ￿Ere
associated bvith the Churth and local ￿rnMunty. These were conducted both on our
premises, and elsewhere.
Our pastor was also able to go into a kxal sch(K)I regularly to conduct assemblies,
in the heart of the local communrty.
We had some special event days of particular focus, with speakers from the
Christian Insttlute, and Missionary Organisations, as w911 as visiting speakers of
interest from further afield. We held special fellowship lunches for our church
anniversary V￿kend and Christmas carol ser￿ce. The thurch has financially
supported the work of Christian organisations in the UK and overseas.
During the year V￿ have also considered signjficant matters to do wth the
improvement of our premises and amenrties. Thi8 is still ongoing.
We have continued to play a very active role in a Lancashire regional fellowship of
churches. and have both hosted arKI attended Combined church events and
meetings of this regional fellowship.
When planning and carying out our adivities. the trustees confimi that they have
considered the Commission's guidance on public benefft, and in parti¢ular the
guidance for charities which are primarily Gon￿Med wth the advan￿rnent of
reli

Perfomiance".
The attendan￿ at our worship services has continu8d to be
maintained. and increased during the year.
Members of the public who are not currently members of the church
have also been regularly present in our services and other activities
throughout the year. This we believe is important in the furtheran￿ of
our work.
Afthough some of our members sadly passed away during the year.
we have also added to our church membership this year, including
service of believerfs baptism at Jireh chapel. Others have also
expressing an interest in joining. which is encouragir¥J.
With the employment of a part-time evangelist since November 2024,
V￿ have also been able to increas8 and improve our gospel outreach
and evangelism wrthin the communrty, and the tobvn of W￿an.
We have continued to reach into the local community in a number of
pla￿S and ways induding local shopping areas and in local schools,
and on its website, in addition to vthat is done on its own premises.
During the year we have continued to maintain our premises to
suitable stsndards, as well as making improvement to the disablèd

We have also made ewuiries and considered Fossibilities about
significant improvement to the amenities in our church premises.
We have continued to provide a wami space for people to meet in at
all of the meetings of the church throughout the year, in all weathers,
using our resources and the heating systems we have available.
We have also continued to review our polirJes and pr¢xedures during
the year, updating a number of them.
The financial posrtion of the chanty has r8mained operable, with
some increase to the giving. However, we continue to be aware of the
need to provide against FK)ssible on-going deficits.

Financial review
Brlel statement of tho
charlty's pollcy on reserves
Our aim as a charity is to look to keep at least six months, general
income in our reSer￿S (approx £14,000). At present, the level of our
reseprfes is huher than this (circa £28,000). However, the reserves are at
reasonable level. because given the running deficit wrthout external
grants, they required in order to meet our projected financial obligations
into the future.
