Activities
The RAF Microlight Flying Association provides flying training and facilities for students to sit the practical and theory examinations leading toward the award of a CAA accredited National Private Pilot's Licence. For qualified members, the Association provides aircraft and facilities to allow members to develop their flying skills in a controlled land suitably structured environment.
Objects: The Object Of The CIO Is To Promote Military Efficiency Of Her Majesty's Armed Forces In Such Charitable Ways As The Trustees Think Fit With Particular Reference To: (A) Fostering Esprit De Corps; (B) Raising Morale;(c) Developing And Enhancing Mental Resilience;of Members Of The Royal Air Force; And(d) Encouraging Airmanship, Air-Mindedness And Aviation Safety Awareness Amongst Members Of The Royal Air Force, Contributing Towards The Defence Of The Realm.in Particular, (But Not By Way Of Limitation), The Trustees May Further The Object Through Encouraging And Facilitating The Participation In, And Provision Of Or Assisting In The Provision Of Facilities For, Microlight Flying In The Royal Air Force.
