Achievements and Performance

SORP reference
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 We successfully continued our programme
of trap, neuter, and were possible return, of
feral cat colonies within our local area.
Where it has not been possible to return cats
because of illness or unsuitable location they
have been brought into our car for treatment
and then rehomed to suitable locations
where they will be care for.
We have continued to receive a marked
increase in stray domestic/feral cats
requiring either neutering and/or vet
treatment during the year which has put
increased pressure on the charities
resources.
Our rehoming programme has continued to
be successful, mainly due to advertising on
our social media sites and recommendations
from previous adopters’.
We have continued offering help and advice
to the general public through direct contact
and through our publications and social
media.
Our fundraising achievements and
performance serve to support and sustain
the charities main activities. Our charity shop
being our main regular income has become
very well supported by the local community
and our support base for regular monetary
and /or non-monetary donation to help
towards veterinary costs and caring for the
cats/kittens in our care has increased.
We have successfully run several appeals to
raise funds to cover the cost of expensive,
emergency and often life-saving veterinary
treatment for the cats/kittens in care.
