ANWARUL QURAN TRUST TRUSTEES REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2023 The trustees present their annual report and financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2023. The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the accounting Policies set out in note 1 to the financial statements and comply with the trust's Igoveming documenll, the Charities Act 2011 and Accounting and Reporting by Charities." Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Stsndard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021" (effective 1 January 20191. Objectives and activities Obj8ctiv&s and aims 11 To advance the religion of Islam in accordan wth the teachings of the Sunni Hanafi Brelvi school for the inhabitants of Lye and the surrounding area, particularty but not exclusively through the holding of prayer meetings. religious education classes, public lectures and public celebration of festivals. 21 To further or benefit the residents of Lye and the neighbourhood, wilhoul distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions by associating together the said residents and the local aulhorilies, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort lo advance educaty'on and lo provide fa¢ililies in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time o¢¢upalion with the objective of improving the ¢onditions of life for the residents. Achievements and performance Charitable activities During the period the Trust delivered.. 11 Children'sArabic classes 4- 6 days a week 21 Two days a week, Islamic study classes for children over 10 31 Helped children complete the learning of Quran Hifz 41 Vveekly gathering for mens I ladies 51 Monthly gatherings for all 61 Funeral services for Muslims 71 Visits and talks by local Councillor and MP Flnanclal revlew Financial position The board of trustees are satisfied with the performance of the Trust during the period and the position al 31 December 2023 and consider that the Trust in a strong position to continue Its activities during the coming year, and that the Trust's assets are adequate to fulfil its obligations. Overall, Anwarul Quran Trust has raised funds totslling £49,407 with the expenditure for the period totalling £46,912 leaving the Trust with a surplus of £2,495 to be carried forward al 31 December 2023. There is no sel policy on the level of unrestricted reserves other than lo maintsin any surpluses left from donations or the ftIrtheran of ils objects. Plans for future perlods The plans for the fLJture wll be to try and maintain the level of services we have via donations. Furthermore, the Trust is planning lo develop the rest of the building, provide more community recreational aclivilies, support all people of the local area and develop awareness of all issues relating to this area.

Responsibilities and basis of report As the Iruslees of the trust you are responsible for the preparation of the financial slalements in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 Ilhe 2011 Act). I report in respect of my examination of the trust's financial stslemenls carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act. FRS 102 "The Financial Reporting Stsndard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" I'FRS 102.1 and the Charities SORP Accounting and Reporting by CharV(ies.' Stslemenl of Recommended practi applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021" (effective 1 January 20191. The trust is a Public Benefit Entity as defined by FRS 102. The financial statements have departed from the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 only to the extent required to provide a true and fair view. This departure has involved following the Statement of Recommended Practice for charities applying FRS 102 rather than the version of the Statement of Recommended Practi which is referred lo In the Regulations but which has since been withdrawn. The financial statements are prepared in sterling, which is the functional currency of the trust. Monetary amounts in these financial statements are rounded to the nearest £. 1.2 Charitable funds Unrestrictèd funds are available for use al the discretion of the trustees in furtherance of their Charitable objectives. 1.3 Income l income is recognised in the Statement of Financial Activities once the Trust has entitlement to the funds, il is probable that the income will be received and the amount can be measured reliably. 1.4 Exp&ndlturg Expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and has been dassrfied under headings that aggregate all cost related lo the category. Vvhere costs cannot be diredy attributed to particular headings they have been allocated lo activities on a basis consislenl with the use of resources. 1.6 Tanglble flxed assets Tangible fixed assets are initially measured al cost and subsequently measured at cost or valuation, nel of depreciation and any Impairment losses. Depreciation is recognised so as to write off the cost or valuation of assets less their residual values over their useful lives on the following bases..
