The trustees present their annual report and financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2023.
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the accounting Policies set out in note 1 to the
financial statements and comply with the trust's Igoveming documenll, the Charities Act 2011 and Accounting and
Reporting by Charities." Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in
accordance with the Financial Reporting Stsndard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021"
(effective 1 January 20191.
Objectives and activities

11 To advance the religion of Islam in accordan￿ wth the teachings of the Sunni Hanafi Brelvi school for the
inhabitants of Lye and the surrounding area, particularty but not exclusively through the holding of prayer meetings.

Financial position
The board of trustees are satisfied with the performance of the Trust during the period and the position al 31
December 2023 and consider that the Trust in a strong position to continue Its activities during the coming year, and
that the Trust's assets are adequate to fulfil its obligations.
Overall, Anwarul Quran Trust has raised funds totslling £49,407 with the expenditure for the period totalling £46,912
leaving the Trust with a surplus of £2,495 to be carried forward al 31 December 2023.
There is no sel policy on the level of unrestricted reserves other than lo maintsin any surpluses left from donations
or the ftIrtheran￿ of ils objects.
Plans for future perlods
The plans for the fLJture wll be to try and maintain the level of services we have via donations.
Furthermore, the Trust is planning lo develop the rest of the building, provide more community recreational
aclivilies, support all people of the local area and develop awareness of all issues relating to this area.

TO THE TRUSTEES OF ANWARUL QURAN TRUST
I report lo the Iruslees on my examination of the financial slalements of Anwarul Quran Trust Ilhe Irustl for the year
ended 31 December 2023.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the Iruslees of the trust you are responsible for the preparation of the financial slalements in accordance with the
requirements of the Charities Act 2011 Ilhe 2011 Act).
I report in respect of my examination of the trust's financial stslemenls carried out under section 145 of the 2011
Act. In Carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 14515llbl of the 2011 A¢1.
Independent examlnerfs statement
Your attention is drawn to the fact that the charity has prepared financial statements in accordance with Accounting
and Reporting by Charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable
in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 in preference to the Accounting and Reporting by Charities". Statement
of Recommended Pradice issued on 1 April 2005 which is referred lo In the extant regulations bul has now been
withdrawn.
l understand that this has been done in order for financial stslemenls lo provide a true and fair view in accordance
with Generally Accepted Accounting Practice effective for reporting periods beginning on or after 1 January 2015.
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no matters have come lo my attention in connection with the
examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect..
accounting records were not kept in respect of the trust as required by section 130 of the 2011 Act., or
the financial slalements do not accord with those records., or
the financial statements do not comply wth the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of
accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the
accounts give a true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no COn￿mS and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention
should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the financial statements lo be reached.

Accounting policies
1.1 Accounting convention
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance wth the trust's Igoveming doculnentl, the
Charities Act 2011. FRS 102 "The Financial Reporting Stsndard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland"
I'FRS 102.1 and the Charities SORP Accounting and Reporting by CharV(ies.' Stslemenl of Recommended
practi￿ applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard
applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021" (effective 1 January 20191. The trust is a Public
Benefit Entity as defined by FRS 102.
The financial statements have departed from the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 only to
the extent required to provide a true and fair view. This departure has involved following the Statement of
Recommended Practice for charities applying FRS 102 rather than the version of the Statement of
Recommended Practi￿ which is referred lo In the Regulations but which has since been withdrawn.
The financial statements are prepared in sterling, which is the functional currency of the trust. Monetary
amounts in these financial statements are rounded to the nearest £.
1.2 Charitable funds
Unrestrictèd funds are available for use al the discretion of the trustees in furtherance of their Charitable
objectives.
1.3 Income
l income is recognised in the Statement of Financial Activities once the Trust has entitlement to the funds, il
is probable that the income will be received and the amount can be measured reliably.
1.4 Exp&ndlturg
Expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and has been dassrfied under headings that aggregate all
cost related lo the category. Vvhere costs cannot be diredy attributed to particular headings they have been
allocated lo activities on a basis consislenl with the use of resources.
1.6 Tanglble flxed assets
Tangible fixed assets are initially measured al cost and subsequently measured at cost or valuation, nel of
depreciation and any Impairment losses.
Depreciation is recognised so as to write off the cost or valuation of assets less their residual values over their
useful lives on the following bases..

and the carrying value of the asset, and is recognised in the slalement of financial activities.

During the period Yousaf Riaz was remunerated £5.590.The payment was made for services provided to the
Trust. The terms of the arrangement was agreed by all trustees with the exception of Yousaf Riaz. The
trustees consider the agreement lo be beneficial for the Trust as the amount charged is less than the
applicable market rate for the provision of such services.
