Activities

The Armitage Foundation aims to increase the number of UK medical students from underrepresented backgrounds, thereby increasing diversity and creating an NHS that reflects the society it serves.We run after-school programmes delivered by current medical student starting in year 8 through to 6th form, because we believe a long-term continuous intervention is most likely to effect change.

Objects: The Object Of The Armitage Foundation Is To Advance Education For Young People Who Are Socially And Economically Disadvantaged And/or From Ethnic Minorities While Simultaneously Advancing Those Young People In Life By Encouraging Study Of Courses At Higher Education Which Will Lead To Specialised Professions And Providing Information And Holistic Understanding About Such Professions, Including, But Not Limited To, The Medical Profession
