The Trustees have invited the local Junior School to the facilities for their Sports Day. The building of Cumbrla University Campu5 on Barrow Island may provlde the opportunity to work the Unlversity Trustees to provide sports and recreational delivery classe5 as part of the currfculum. For the start of 2024125 football Seas we are taklng on an addlonal l Glrts Junior Football teams + I more opon age team, to IncorwratÈ a wider take up of sport and soclal actlvltles assoclated with the Increase In numbers Involved. Lancashlre and Yorkshire and was very successful. The Community Hub provided and hosted Christmas Partles for both local Senlcr Cltlzens and children and is also a well-used venue for dance troupes, Amateur Dramatic groups and other organlsatlons offeriw Yoga, Pilates and Craft Falrs. BICST Ltd is very pro of the achievernents made in such a short period of time. The Board Inten¢J to bulld on these successes in 2023 and alm to identify and resolve any issues that may impact on the local and wller Barrow communlty before they affert individuals or groups. We also are justifiably proud of the work carrfed out by local volunteers to continuously Improve the sports pltches to enable VarUS teams to enjoy clean and playable pltches for a small prorx)rtion of the year. Partnership5 have gone from strength to strength over the last year. We established a Wam Hub throughout the winter to 5UPPQrt residents from the Bairow Area in 9eneral by the provision of a space for them to meet others and have a meal rather than remain isolated In their homes. We have a wellstablished Slimmlng wot1d groupt which help to promote Healrhy 1Sfestyle and wellbelng. After Coming out of the pandemlc lockdown both hall and sports pltch use is increasing steadlty.
