Minutes of the Annual General Meeting held on Wednesday 6[th] November 2024 in the Philip Squire Community Centre
Present : C Melean, (C) I Hill, J Roberts (VC), J Bowen, L Redwood, K Redwood, D Evans, M James (Events), J Faulkner, K Faulkner.
1. Apologies for Absence
Apologies were received from E Davies, J Davies, E Phillips, D Davies and P Gronow.
2. Welcome and Chairperson’s Report
The outgoing Chair welcomed members to the meeting. He gave a brief resumé of the year’s activities which had been dominated by the project to convert the old changing rooms into a new usable space. This had been achieved we should be pleased with the outcome. He thanked everyone for their support throughout the year.
3. Minutes of the meeting held in November 2023
The minutes of the meeting were read and agreed to be a true record.
4. Matters arising
There were no matters arising.
5. Treasurer’s Report
The Treasurer tabled a statement of the accounts for 2023-24. She gave a brief account of the main activities of the year, particularly the large sums of money involved in completing the project. The accounts had been audited by Mr Wyn Davies and she read out a letter from Mr Davies confirming that the books were in order. In the letter he regretfully resigned as auditor. The Treasurer reported that owing to the increased workload in dealing with the payment monies, his fee had been increased to £100. Members agreed to this. Iris Hill proposed a vote of tanks to the Treasurer for all her hard work in a difficult year. Members supported this unanimously.

6. Election of Officers
The minute secretary briefly took the Chair for the election of the Chairperson. Mr C Melean agreed to stand again and was unanimously elected. He then took the meeting through the other officers:
