The chalk badge is the last surviving remnant of what was a large training camp and is now visible once more from the main A30 road running between Salisbury and Shaftesbury. A website has been created, an Anzac Day service is held every year and we engage with the public via social media channels such as Twitter and Facebook. |

Para 1.20 | There is a great deal of local support for the Map of Australia Trust as many had mourned the loss of this unique chalk badge located on the hillside near the village of Compton Chamberlayne. Regular working parties are advertised to provide maintenance to the Map, to ensure it remains clearly visible in the landscape. Remembrance services were held, both Armistice Day and ANZAC Day and visitors from the Australian High Commission were escorted around the Map. The Map continues to attract attention from local and Australian service charities and the charity’s Facebook page and website are frequently accessed by the public. |
