Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
The new space has provided us with opportunities to increase our membership and introduce new skills for members by working alongside each other. This has given confidence and a sense of worth to both the novice and the tutor.
Placement within a large shopping centre has given us increased visibility of our Charity enabling us to reach out to more people and we can see that our number of members has increased.
We have met with the Local Police, and they are aware of our objectives and will use this where necessary.
Being members of UK Mens Shed Association has put us in touch with other sheds and our members have benefitted from this contact.
We have made items for a local charity for their use with their members. We have held instruction courses with a local Scout group with them producing items for their troop.
Members work on either their own projects or on items that can benefit the Charity.
