The organisation is a church. Its main aims
are :
–to teach the word of God ; to introduce
people to the love of God shown through
Jesus Christ,
to encourage those who already know God's
love to keep trusting in that, and to
demonstrate God's love in practical acts of
kindness.
The trustees have given the following
description of the church's activities carried
out to achieve this purpose:
Sunday. 10am The Lords Supper ; 11 am
Morning Worship;11.30 am Sunday school;
6.00pm Evening Service.
Tuesday. 10.30am-3.30pm Bookshop open
Wednesday : 7.30pm. Prayer/Bible Study
Thursday : 10.30am-3.30pm Bookshop open
Friday : 10.30am Friends and Neighbours
(Monthly) Saturday: 10.30am-3.30pm

In addition to the regular meetings the
church holds regular meetings in a number
of local Homes for the Elderly, in the form
of a 'Sunday Half-Hour'
Occasional : Christianity Explored Courses;
Events at the Town Hall; and Book & Crafts
stand at the Llangollen International Musical
Eisteddfd ; an Open-Air Carol Service in
December and various Youth Events
throughout the year.
Covid 19 Restrictions- Due to the effects
of the Covid 19 Pandemic all the above
activities were discontinued with the
exception of Morning Worship, the Evening
Service on Sunday and Wednesday Prayer/
Bible Study which continued viaZoom.
As restrictions eased, the Chapel was
reopened from July 2020 and has remained
open to date, with strict Covid compliance
resuming the Sunday and Wednesday
meetings. The Bookshop reopened on
Saturdays only, from January 9th Jan. 2021.

Achievements and Performance

Para 1.20 We have been able to give financial support
to a Number of Christian charities during the
above period, despite the effect of the Covid
restrictions.
These include : -
Barnabus Fund; Caring for Life;
Christian Institute; Evangelical
Movement of Wales; Open Air Mission;
Savannah Trust, and the Trinitarian Bible
Society.
This remains an opportunity to be part of a
much larger work
Homes for the Elderly - Covidhas
prevented us having any direct with the local
Care Homes. We have kept in touch with
them, providing Bibles and Magazine for a
couple of them.
Youth Work, Sunday schoolhave been
discontinued during this period. TheChapel
Shophas remained closed throughout 2020
except for 2 Saturdays prior to Christmas.
Llangollen International Music Festival -
This was unable to take place in 2020 due to
Covid restrictions, which also prevented our
associated activity.

end of year loss for both 2020 / 2021, when
the repairs/renewals are removed we are in
profit , the deficit being offset from our
Reserves.

Biblical pattern of Elders (one of which
would be the Minister/Pastor) and Deacons.
The Trustees are drawn from amongst these
officers, but also include other responsible
and able persons who are committed to
advancing the work while upholding the
provisions of the Trust Deed. These are
proposed by the Trustees, and appointed by
the Elders. The Trustees retain the
independent responsibility to ensure
everything is carried out in accordance with
the Trust Deed.

Please Note -During the Covid Lockdown
James Cornford stood down as Pastor (Paid
Minister) on health grounds. That
subsequently left him eligible to be
reappointed as a Trustee. Sadly, the same
week, Mr Douglas Alan Pearse was
unexpectedly taken ill and died. This has
truly been a traumatic time. This however
will explain the reorganisation of Trustees.
