Section D Achievements and performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE AUGUST 2021 – AUGUST 2022 TRUSTEE ANNUAL REPORT

With a number of Covid restrictions in place things were still fairly limited, however with easements an afternoon outdoor gathering event was held in September to celebrate what had been achieved in spite of everything. Work also began to seek out new active members for the organisational team as a number of roles needed to be filled.

The trustees took the decision to maintain the 5-year cycle of major Lewes Passion Plays in years ending with ‘0’ or ‘5’, so to aim for 2025.

An outreach event was held in October 2021 to garner support, having previously approached all the Lewes Clergy and churches. A morning of prayer and discussion resulted in a group getting together to plan an interim Easter Singing event for 2022.

The Easter event took groups of people around the town with a selection of Easter songs and speakers promoting Lewes Passion Play in a celebration of the Resurrection.

Trustees then began planning the search process for new team members including a director for 2025, ready for launch in September 2022.
