Our activities this year have continued to focus on setting up the charity, raising awareness of the charity, and generating base funds. Due to ongoing political instability during the annual period, particularly in Cameroon, no charitable grants were made in-year.
The trustees declare that they have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit (published at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/public-benefit-rules-for-charities#the-publicbenefit-requirement) and have established systems and controls to ensure compliance with it before making charitable grants.
Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)

Section E Financial review
The trustees aim to maintain reserves at a level which equates to Brief statement of the approximately three months of unrestricted charitable expenditure. The charity’s policy on reserves trustees consider that this level will provide sufficient funds to respond to applications for grants, identify suitable projects, and ensure that support and governance costs are covered. The trustees consider that a level of three months is sufficient given the ongoing level of donations and low regular fixed cost.
The balance held as unrestricted funds at 31 March 2021 was £32,750. The current level of reserves is therefore higher than is needed and intend to use these for purposes in line with the charitable objects in the future.
Details of any funds materially in deficit
