Activities

Alexandra House of Joy will be a purpose built community which will provide much needed facilities for Adults with Profound Learning Disability. We will offer a Respite Care Service for short breaks, a Day Time Support Centre, and an essential end of life Hospice Service. Alexandra House will offer opportunities of employment, for Adults with Learning Disability, in the kitchen gardens and cafe.

Objects: For The Public Benefit, As An Expression Of Christian Love And Values, The Preservation Of Health Of Disabled Adults With Learning Difficulties Living In The UK Particularly But Not Exclusively Through; A) The Provision Of Day Time Support Accessible For Anyone With A Learning Disability From 19 Years Of Age, Living In The UK. B) The Provision Of Care For Adults With Profound Learning Disabilities Over The Age Of 35 Years, Living In The UK, Particularly But Not Exclusively Through Access To Recreational And Therapeutic Activities, Including Holidays And Respite Care, Additionally Offering Support Of Relief From Caring To Their Families And/or Primary Carers. C) The Provision Of Hospice Palliative Care For Adults With Profound Learning Disabilities At End Of Life, Additionally Providing Support For And To Families And/or Primary Carers Of The Adult With Profound Disability In The Bereavement Process.
