May 2021 saw the very flrst full scale Theatre Uncut production, The Merthyr Stlgmat15t by Lisa Parry. one of the short115ted play5 from the inaugural Theatre Uncut Polltical Playwritin8 Award was presented In co-productlon with the Sherman Theatre Cardiff. The diBltal capture production recelved an overwhelmingly positSve response from both audlences and the pre5S "theatrlcal magic from the Volleys" the Guardian. The play explores the experience of a teenage glrl from one of Wale5' most deprlved comrnunitie5 and we were delighted to cast a young actress from Merthyr In her professional stage debut.
