Attendance – Adrian Todd, Chris Battersby, Jonathan Davies, Alan Sowerby and 9 members of the public.
Minutes from the previous AGM – were read and agreed to be a true record. Chairman’s Report - Adrian gave his thanks to passengers for their patronage of the service over the past 12 months which he extended to parish councils and Cumbria Classic Coaches, specifically Ian for his excellent stewardship of the service. The Eden Locality Board or Westmorland and Furness Council is looking to fund to additional bus services across the area and is currently looking at supporting a 5 day additional service for the 106 route, the realisation of this opportunity will depend on supplier availability. Thanks were extended to Chris Battersby for his work as Treasure and to the wider committee for their consistent service attending meetings. Jonathan explained to us all about the Liberal Democrats Leaflet re improving the service and suggested that we all write to the council explaining our concerns.
Treasurer’s Report – a copy of the balance sheet was circulated to the meeting (copied below). Parish Council payments for 2024 totalled £3000 as they continue their support for the bus. The two main changes over last year have been the Charity box on the bus £684.04 continues to increase and the Christmas Fayre at Shap £112 which was low due to weather and a poor turnout.
