Achievements and Performance

SORP reference
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 The main achievement of the charity over
the last year was raising funds to open a
school in Koma, Adamawa State, Nigeria.
The primary impact is enabling local
access to a quality education to the
children of Koma, which contributes to the
overall development of every child and
their family. One identified secondary effect
includes improved access to opportunities
and a better future. A typical child in Koma
hills would walk up to 8 hours daily to
collect water. By helping more children to
receive education will also positively impact
the future economy and long-term
prospects of the region and wider Nigerian
economy.
This work also has a local impact through
its team members based in London.
Through social-media and fundraising
activities we have reached and inspired
many young people in the London area.
Awareness was raised of important world
issues such as the lack of clean water and
poverty. Our activities have also promoted
civic responsibility by providing young
people the opportunity to improve the
quality of people’s lives in underdeveloped
countries in a way they would not have
thought previously possible.
