Section C Objectives and activities
Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document
Our aim is to develop the needs of the community, supported by the local authority and partners, to create a stronger, independent community where we live. To achieve this, we will build on community principles, values and respect to strengthen community ownership and participation. All proceeds raised will be channelled back into the events and distributed to worthy local causes.

The objectives of Bryn and Cwmavon Events are - The promotion, for the benefit of the local community, of culture and sporting activities.
The Trustees follow the guidance issued by the Charity Commission in managing and overseeing the Charity.
Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)
Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information)
Using sponsorship, donations and generated revenue we:

Provided two races, the 10K and Mini Miler;

Provided Christmas decorations across the ward;

Provided children’s parties and activities;

Helped families in need whether it be through illness, bereavement or financial hardship;

contribution made by volunteers.

Helped youth organisations in particulat rugby, football, baseball, and climbing wall group;

Promoted charity events and activities;

Promote community events and activities;

Support community sports such as Rugby, football and boxing, both male and female;

Support local youth organisations such as Air Cadets, Scouts, Brownies, Guides, Sea Scouts. Etc;

Support local schools via the PTA;

Support disability football and rugby teams; and
-
Support environment groups, mountain bike groups who have created and maintained local trails.

Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
The biggest single objective is to raise money in order to support local community groups and organisations, as well as local families in need. The 10K race has raised over £25,000, after expenses, with all monies donated to the groups and individuals mentioned previously. The decision on the recipients made by the trustees named.
The events help to build community spirit in the town and unite the residents who turn out to support the participants.
The Christmas events also unite the local community and through the memory stars bring comfort to those families following bereavement and provide great entertainment for the children.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31 / 12 / 2024.

Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have examiner's statement come to my attention (other than that disclosed below *) in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
