that 3,621 babies were born in
Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole
and 2,638 were born in Dorset in 2020.

means that 2,128 babies in our area are
at risk of insecure attachment every
year, with all the repercussions that will
impact their health, wellbeing, academic
and economic achievements as well as
future relationships.
In our fourth year, despite complications
relating to Covid, DorPIP has continued
to support families without disruption.
We have helped families to flourish in
Dorset and surrounding areas, by
providing parent infant relationship
services from conception to age two,
both online and in person. These
services have included:

Attachment focused infant
massage classes

Facilitated Peer support groups
Beneficiaries
340 individuals have benefited directly
from our services in the past year.
Outcomes include significant
