Achievements and Performance

In January 2023, the charity achieved a significant milestone with the generous support of £400,000 from Rolls-Royce plc. This substantial funding not only enables us to undertake remedial works to the Hangar and prepare for the Museum's reopening, but also sets the stage for a promising future as we establish the Museum as a custodian of Hucknall's aviation history. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Rolls Royce Heritage Trust, particularly Colin Smith and Charles Cuddington, and Rolls-Royce CEO Warren East, whose unwavering support was instrumental in securing this vital funding.

The good news was shared with our volunteers and supporters at monthly social meetings, where we continue to work on our plans for reopening. Their dedication and hard work are the backbone of our progress.

Financial Review

The Museum’s income is currently sourced from donations. Donations can be given via our social media pages. Visitors to the museum are also asked to donate, should they wish to, in lieu of an entrance fee.

Any significant spending is authorised by the trustees, ensuring that it is both relevant to our aims and cost effective. This also ensures that we maintain sufficient reserves for future projects.

The Museum holds charitable status with HMRC, which allows us to benefit from the Gift Aid scheme.
