Para 1.20 | Dr. Karaikudi S. Subramanian, mentor of Brhaddhvani UK during his visit in 2019 from India guided the charity to initiate and continue some of the activities and collaborations for the next year. On 8th December 2019, a major performance of a Vina quartet conceptualised by Dr Subramanian was arranged at Crofton Halls in Orpington, Kent for the benefit of the community and music students. Karaikudi Krishnamurthy, senior most Mridangam maestro based in London performed with Dr. Subramanian and supported the students. Brhaddhvani UK formally began a collaboration with PRSSV Institute of Performing Arts and Heritage in November 2019 which is one of UK’s leading performing arts organisations promoting World Music, Dance and Heritage. Dr. Subramanian conducted workshops for PRSSV students, and they participated in collaborative performance of North and South Indian Music. |
